Custom Tone Hole designs

for cutting and engraving

UPDATE: For Master Works soundholes, I can only work directly with my own Master Works customers. I offer complimentary custom soundhole designs to customers who purchase a Russell Cook Edition or DulciForte model hammered dulcimer through me. If you are currently working with another Master Works representative, please contact your representative with your custom soundhole design requests. It’s possible that I will still be able to design your soundholes through Master Works, but my schedule is not always permitting and/or your representative may also prefer to work with a different designer.

If you are looking for a custom sound-hole designs for a one-of-a-kind instrument, I am able to assist. I have experience designing for Master Works Hammered Dulcimers, Folkcraft Mountain Dulcimers, and New Harmony Mountain Dulcimers. If you are working with a different builder or craftsman, please consult with me and your craftsman so that I can determine their cutting and engraving capabilities and design according to their specifications.

My own tone holes feature two complimentary designs. Sun and Moon. Two layers of wood (Maple and Koa) along with an abalone inlay. This exclusive design is only available to customers purchasing a Master Works instrument through me.
